The Sycamore’s Spirit Wellness Education Center’s mission is to be a safe haven for people to  learn and experience their own ability to take healthy back. It is Sheryl Henkin-Kealey’s mission to provide education, guidance, and accountability for those who are interested in true disease prevention and root cause discovery.  Resources for testing of important bio-markers of our most common disease states of this time are also available. There are over 100 conditions now classified as auto-immune, and it might surprise you to know that both cancer and heart disease are in that very category! Sheryl teaches based on the 7 pillars of Health in Functional Medicine. This approach is always asking “why”, and looking for the root cause of any and all imbalances in a person’s health.

Sheryl is A Certified Holistic Cancer Coach, as well as a Functional Health Coach. She has her B.S. Ed degree from Penn State University as well as Level I and Level ll Medicinal Aromatherapy certifications. Sheryl and her partner Dave Paxson most recently owned and operated The Sycamore’s Spirit Healing Retreat in English Center, Pa. Sheryl has worked in the natural foods retail markets for over 12 years assisting customers in making healthy lifestyle changes. She has taught classes both within the markets as well as traveling to community events such as senior centers, libraries, schools, and healthy living expos/events. She also makes a line of all natural body care products under the name “The Scentual Soul”, Fine Aromatherapy Products. (See link to store on website). Sheryl has also studied with various Native American elders, and chooses to walk the Red Road through life. The healing retreats and classes she has attended over the years have transformed her, and it is her greatest desire to make some of these available locally so that more people might benefit from them. Other passions include organic gardening, cooking, and reading, and beadwork.
